Previously Chevrolet will launch this car in the homeland in October 2011.
Antonio stated GM plant in Thailand is safe from flooding, so no one need fear it would disrupt production activities that make a product launch delayed again to Indonesia. "The plant we are safe from flooding, see tomorrow," said Antonio.
In a test drive test drive the all-new Chevrolet Colorado is held in Thailand on October 24 to 28 visit to the GM plant in Rayong, Thailand has become the agenda of the GM. American manufacturers will bring 12 journalists from Indonesia to prove if the plant is currently not under water like other car manufacturers in Thailand.
If Indonesia formally entered the automotive market, pickup All New Colorado will compete with Mitsubishi Strada Triton, Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, Isuzu D-Max, and the Nissan Frontier Navara.
All New Colorado manufactured in Thailand with a production capacity of 100,000 units per year. All New Colorado pickup deployed in ASEAN car market.
Chevy Colorado Ready 'Fighting' in RI
Has not been officially released to the country's car market, GM has been willing to bet if the all-new Colorado pickup will be able to compete with a pickup truck that had already been paved in Indonesia.
"Indonesia's largest pickup market in ASEAN. For the strategy we will put forward a very competitive price. There are many opportunities that we can accomplish with the All New Colorado," said Antonio.
